Dried, natural quartz sands

Silica or also called quartz sand is sorted by wet and dry sieving processes. Our Quartz Q silica sands are fire-dried in industrial process. Quartz Q has a hygiene certificate for building products and filtermedia. It is available in 20 standard main fractions, other granulations on request.

It is mainly used for applications as:

Filter medium for water processing plants. As a filler in resin bound flooring systems, based on epoxy-based resins, polyurethanes or methyl methacrylate. Also finds it's application in so-called cement-based dry-mix mortar systems, as a dry filler. This to compose excellent products as plasters, concrete, cement based floorings, mortars or tile clay. Quartz Q can also be used for decorative or functional prefab in building elements.

Dried sand is also used in concrete products, sport fields, wet-blasting, water filtration, roofing systems (protection and isolation), gardens, terraces, children playgrounds, roads and aquariums.

Our sand has a high abrasion resistance and good natural strength parameters.
